Libro compuesto por acetatos transparentes, en donde se han impreso al derecho y al revés las páginas de un informe de la Fuerza Armada Salvadoreña de los años 80, conocido como “Libro Amarillo”, en el cual se ficharon a casi dos mil personas como opositores políticos y enemigos del estado. Según los análisis de las instituciones que desclasificaron el documento, casi la mitad de los fichados en este informe fueron torturados, asesinados y desaparecidos durante el conflicto armado. 

La resignificación que hago, parte de la impresión del mismo documento. Impreso en acetatos transparentes al derecho y al revés, la información contenida se traslapa y se vuelve inteligible, creando esta sensación de no poder leer con claridad la información contenida en el mismo. 

A book made up from transparencies where were printed forward and backwards the pages of 1980’s Salvadorian Military Forces document known as “Yellow Book”, where is filed nearly two thousand people as political opponents and enemies of the state. According to the analyzes of the institutions that declassified the document, almost half of those recorded in this report were tortured, killed and disappeared during the armed conflict. 

The redefinition I made began with the printing of the document. Printed in transparencies forwards and backwards the information overlaps and becomes intelligible, creating this feeling of not being able to read clearly the information contained in it.
